Press Release
MCS
MCS America, a national multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS) organization,
is now offering a free news feed service to the public, called MCSA
Feeds. The purpose of this service is to receive daily
distribution of current news and research studies on multiple chemical
sensitivity, environmental concerns, and other related environmental illnesses
and disorders. Anyone may subscribe. The only requirement is
an email address.
To subscribe to daily news feeds
and current scientific research, send an email to news@mcs-america.org, or subscribe at:

Multiple
chemical sensitivity (MCS) is an environmental illness (EI) in which negative
neurological, pulmonary, cardiac, and rheumatic health effects, among
others, are experienced from exposure to common environmental chemicals including fragrances,
cleaners, pesticides, and
other petrochemicals at concentrations that are below regulatory toxicity
thresholds and that
are normally deemed as safe.
A
surprising number of people report sensitivity to ordinary everyday chemicals. The
figures range from an average of eleven to seventeen percent, with spikes as
high as thirty percent of subjects who report reactions to multiple chemical
incitants.
Lourdes
Salvador, president of MCS America, asserts "Patients, doctors,
researchers, and others will find current and pertinent research and
media news delivered to their inbox when subscribed to MCSA Feeds."
MCS
America is solely operated by volunteers. For additional information

About MCS
The mission of MCS America (MCSA) is to gain
medical, legal, and social recognition for multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS)
as a disorder of organic biological origin induced by toxic environmental
insults. Secondarily, MCSA seeks to ensure that environmental
toxicants are identified, reduced, regulated, and enforced through lobbying for
effective legislation.
